Dawson Creek Society for Community Living acknowledges the contribution of the seniors living within and around our community and strive to support them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
It is our honour to help seniors to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, providing just enough support to allow them to do so safely. Given the wide array of needs by the many seniors in our community and surrounding area, there is no one solution. Instead we work, in some cases in partnership, to provide a variety of support models to 'meet seniors where they are at'.
Assisted Living
Ideal for those seniors that would like to live independently in their own apartments while having access to staff 24/7 should they require support.
Urban Seniors Services
Providing nutritious meals to seniors residing in our various housing complexes throughout the community, as well as any senior within city limits that could benefit from the service. In addition, we offer grocery shopping for those struggling to get what they need. Both services are provided for a nominal fee.
Seniors Aging in Place (SAIP) Program
Keeping seniors residing in Area D and parts of Area E, in their homes and independent for as long as possible. Supports are available to address the various challenges experienced by seniors living in rural areas.
