Assisted Living

Assisted Living Program

Northview Assisted Living offers seniors the opportunity to live independently while receiving the supports required for them to do so. We recognize that everyone faces their own challenges and has unique needs, which is why an individualized plan of care is created for each resident. At least one staff is on site 24/7 and each resident is provided an emergency call pendant to allow them total independence while ensuring their continued safety.

Services offered include:

  • Two home-cooked meals prepared in-house daily
  • Weekly housekeeping
  • Personal care
  • Daily activities and recreation
  • Activities of daily living

We encourage families of residents to take part in all aspects of their loved one’s lives. From the application and admission process through the continuation of their care, staff are available to answer any questions the family or pending resident may have. Upon admission to Northview Assisted Living, all details and schedules are reviewed with the resident and family member(s).

Eligibility of applicants into Assisted Living, is determined by Northern Health. To apply, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on Northview Assisted Living Application.

Food Services

The Food Services program at Northview is proud to provide healthy and delicious meals for the residents of Northview. Our four week menus are rotated and adjusted monthly and created based on resident suggestions, in-season items, and the Canada Food Guide.

Freshness and variety are important components to the food that is provided. Buns, muffins, biscuits, cakes, cookies and other baked goods are made fresh regularly. Soups and salads are made fresh daily while two or more vegetables are offered at each lunch meal. We offer quality Triple A meat which includes all fish and wild game, such as buffalo and elk.

Holidays are acknowledged with special meals being prepared and the dining room being decorated accordingly. Special diets are provided for residents requiring it.
