Opportunity Centre

The Opportunity Centre operates as a hub of activity for many of our community’s adult individuals with developmental disabilities. To address the needs and interests of our Community Living population, Activity Facilitators and volunteers plan and implement a variety of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Educational and skill development opportunities in the areas of health, safety and self-advocacy.
  • Opportunities for individuals to learn relevant work related behaviours and skills, in conjunction with Access Employment Services.
  • Leisure, recreational and social opportunities that allow individuals to build connections with the people and services within our community, as well as building the foundations of lasting friendships.
  • Opportunities for individuals to be physically active and health conscious, all the while having fun and being empowered.
