Home Support

Home Support (Home-Maker)

The Home Support Program mainly focuses on establishing basic housekeeping skills and personal care skills, to adults with developmental disabilities. These individuals may currently live at home, be receiving ongoing care from unpaid residential support, or live independently within the community.

Under certain circumstances, Home Support staff may also assist individuals with accessing health care services.

Service may include but are not limited to:

  • Temporary assistance with personal care.
  • Assistance during the recovery from medical procedures
  • Skill building and assistance with daily living activities within the home (cooking, cleaning, organizing, in home and community safety)
  • Aiding individuals to attain their independence
  • Providing instruction and assistance in self-care, home care, and community safety
